LEADA looking forward

Lakes Entrance Action and Development Association (LEADA) held its annual general meeting at the Central Hotel in Lakes Entrance last Monday.
Outgoing chairperson Alison Brewer summarised the achievements of LEADA over the past year.
A survey was conducted seeking members' views on the most important priorities for Lakes Entrance.
Priority one was to build a new indoor sport stadium. A grant was applied for and East Gippsland Shire received $800,000 for a feasibility study and the drawing up of architectural plans.
Projects that have been pursued by LEADA and are now nearing completion include the development of Bullock Island, the completion of the Slipway site and new toilets and car parking at Jemmys Point.
