Monika’s autobiography

Monika’s autobiography

“It is now my time to express for all members of the human race and planet earth, my experience as a schizophrenic,” Monika Hollander said on the launch of her autobiography, Living on the Brink.
It is a human story about a life with mental instability, which was awakened in Monika’s mid 20s while travelling overseas and completing a midwifery degree in Edinburgh, Scotland.
“Not understanding what was happening to me, it continues for a life time, and can now be referred to as a spiritual awakening or transformation, as I search for answers,” Monika said.
“My wanting to know God fuels my anguish and demand for answers.”
Monika has had more than seven years of hospitalisation so far, since 1987, when she started taking medication. She has now lived in Lakes Entrance for six years, but spends much of her time at her property in W Tree.
