The Lake Tyers Beach community is excited to see the old shop being completely refurbished and are greatly anticipating its opening.
New owners, Steve Franklin and Rommel Canoy, are keen to create a café/providore style store, which will bring a little bit of Melbourne to the coast.
At the very start of the COVID pandemic they decided to escape the city and were looking for a coastal area to settle.
Friends Jodie Tuckwell and Pete Knight knew the area well when they decided to buy a home in Lake Tyers Beach.
Steve and Rommel bought a house in Lakes Entrance through a video call and love their new location.
