Seagulls power to first win

Lakes Football Netball Club season got an East Gippsland football boost last Saturday with the Seagulls humbling last year’s preliminary finalists, Lindenow, by 65 points at the Lindenow Recreation Reserve.
After an even first term which saw the Cats lead by a goal, the Seagulls turned up the heat in the second quarter kicking eight goals to one to be in control at half time by 44 points. First season Lakes Entrance coach, Andrew Stevens, was delighted with the effort of his side all day but particularly during the second term.

CAPTION: Lakes Entrance will return to the Lakeside Oval this Saturday to meet Stratford in a round three East Gippsland football blockbuster against reigning premier, Stratford. Defender Liam Allen will be eager to add a second win for the season after the Seagulls defeated Lindenow last Saturday.
