Rooftop bar plans

Rooftop bar plans

As Metung continues to boom in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, a local couple has unveiled an ambitious plan for a rooftop wine bar in the village.
Andrew and Adele McInnes purchased the Amcal chemist building, in the heart of Metung’s café strip, when it came up for sale about 12 months ago.
They’ve engaged Slap Architects to design the three-storey building, which will feature a lounge area on the second floor and a rooftop bar on the third level.
The ground level will also feature a bar and tapas area, with a cellar underneath.
An alfresco area, extending to the footpath, is planned for the front of the building.
However, the rooftop bar is sure to be a winner with Metung locals and visitors alike, featuring stunning views of Lake King from both directions.
