Concrete barriers causing concerns

Linda Richardson has just received the worrying news from an orthopaedic surgeon that she will need to undergo a total shoulder replacement after a bike accident involving the concrete parking barriers on part of the Esplanade.
“My rotator cuff in my right shoulder was damaged irreparably, it was shredded the surgeon told me,” Linda said.
She has started a petition to have the barriers removed and urges others to be aware of how many accidents have occurred involving them.
“I have had so many people tell me how they have fallen or nearly fallen and they are just the ones reporting to me. Many would be embarrassed and have kept it to themselves,” Linda said.
Since a recent article reporting Linda’s accident was published in the Lakes Post many more victims have come forward.
