Vaccine steady

Members of the Lakes Entrance community and surrounding areas are reminded that COVID vaccinations are available at the two medical clinics in town.
Cunninghame Arm Medical Clinic has both the Astrazeneca and Pfizer vaccines available and with the directive that 16 to 39-year-olds can now receive the vaccine, including priority VCE students, the clinic has reported a good turn up of younger people.
“It is also available to 12 to 15-year-olds with chronic conditions and Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders,” nurse Naomi Smith said.
“We do the Astrazeneca immunisations on a Tuesday, but now and then we will add a Saturday to catch up on bookings. Pfizer is available fortnightly on a Friday, at the moment we are being allocated 300 doses for that fortnight,” she said.
Cunninghame Arm Medical Clinic works with a sister clinic in Bairnsdale, Dr Janes, where Astrazeneca is available on a Monday.
